A Prayer on the Journey Home

As I’ve travelled life’s long journey
The time has really flown.
The road has not been easy,
Now I’m weary, tired and worn.

I thought that time was on my side,
Putting things off ‘til tomorrow.
But the years have passed
And the hour is late.
Now there’s no time left to borrow.

So today I come to seek You, Lord,
And I hope it’s not too late
To ask You for forgiveness,
For salvation and for faith.
